Meet Lisa
I love to explore and learn about other ways of living in the world. I completed my undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Bologna in Northern Italy. The eight years studying abroad in my twenties helped to shape my curiosity and understanding of diverse cultures and attitudes. I completed my Masters of Social Work from UNC-Chapel Hill and my clinical internship at Duke University’s Student counseling center (CAPS). I have also received special training in domestic violence counseling and advocacy, worked on the domestic violence crisis line and facilitated support groups for survivors of intimate partner violence. Prior to working in private practice, I supported patients with renal disease at an outpatient clinic at UNC Hospitals. I enjoy working with diverse populations; I have received Racial Equity and inclusion training through the Racial Equity institute (REI) and view equity education as a transformative and lifetime process. I am an LGBTQIA affirming provider.
I enjoy spending time outdoors on nature walks with my family, floating in the ocean, and playing with my bonded pair of kittens, Griffin and Cleo. I am also fond of banana pudding and Tiramisù.
